Community Wellness Blanket

Blanket on Display in the Athlone Family Resource Centre

Although we could not sit together we could still work together to make beautiful things during the Covid 19 pandemic restrictions. Beginner and seasoned crochet artist came together to create individuals squares which would form part of a beautiful wellness blanket. We received an overwhelming response and 60 member of the public contributed to the creation of not 1 but 5 wellness blankets.   

This “switch off and be creative” action is funded by Westmeath County Council under the Community Resilience Fund. #KeepWell.
